Laura Watkins Psychotherapy

Affordable support, tailored to you.

Welcome

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I offer a calm, confidential space where we can explore what is happening in your life, at a pace that feels right for you.

Our 50-minute sessions are your time — a dedicated space where anything you bring will be met with understanding and respect.

Affordable Support

I offer individual, in-person sessions at Wood Street Psychotherapy, in central Bath.

My fee is £25 per 50-minute session, or a block of 6 sessions for £120.

About Me

I’m a trainee member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and I follow their Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.

I am completing an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC), a UKCP-accredited training organisation.

I previously worked at a low-cost counselling service in Wiltshire, where I supported clients through many life changes, including relationship breakdowns, parenthood, menopause, loss, and the feeling of being ‘stuck’.

As part of my training, I receive regular supervision from an experienced psychotherapist, and have ongoing personal therapy. I am also fully insured.

Working Together

People often look for support when life feels hard, confusing, or stuck.

You might be facing anxiety, feeling low, struggling with relationships, grieving, or simply sensing that things aren’t how you want them to be.

Get in touch to see how I can support you.

My Approach

Together, we can take time to explore what you’re experiencing and what might be behind it.

This might involve looking at patterns in relationships, past experiences, or beliefs about yourself that may have developed over time. Becoming aware of these patterns can help create the possibility for change.

As an integrative therapist, I adapt my methods depending on what feels most helpful for you.

My Background

Listening to people’s stories has long been a part of what I do.

Before training as a therapist, I worked as a researcher and teacher, hearing from people experiencing conflict and forced migration.

I’ve lived in Sri Lanka, Jordan, the United States, the Netherlands, and Spain, and spent ten years as a stay-at-home parent. These experiences helped me understand how people make sense of their lives and why it matters to meet them where they are.

Next Step

If any part of my background or approach resonates with you, or you’re curious about how we might work together, please feel free to get in touch.

I’d be glad to talk more about whether therapy with me could be a good fit for you.
